Other than needing a change of shorts this driver walked away unscathed

Always hate to see an animal wasted like that. Accidents happen, don’t get me wrong, but rear-ending a moose seems like it may have been avoidable. You have to be aware of your surroundings at all times. The faster you drive, the more you have to pay attention. That driver got very lucky. If there would have been a passenger the story would have been very different.
Hope they were able to harvest the meat as there is at least a couple hundred pounds of good eating hanging from those forks.

Thanks Bob,for sharing this and reminding me why I'll NEVER drive anything like a Smart car, or other subcompact. No matter how good the "collision rating "is, real life has a way around it.

Had a friend that hit a moose on His bike. 6 months and a dozen surgeries latter he finally got wheeled out of the hospital to go home and further recoup. Didn’t matter how many times I offered hm a moose roast or steak - he always refused it.
