Has anyone on here tried adding a blade(think chatterbait) to the line tie on a crank? I thought about it for extra thump and flash. Wondering how it would alter the natural action. Maybe something to try out in the test tank this week.
I think it would Jack up the flow of water over the diving lip and the lure wouldn’t track right. You could hang a spinner blade off the back hook hanger . That would do the trick
Ben i saw a factory made top water with a small willow blade between front n rear treble. I modified one of mine. Had to use dremel tool to get it to sz i needed. I could hear blade ticking off rear hook. It added flash n sound.

Unfortunately covid hit n we didn't make our stripper trip. Hopefully we go this yr. Casts well looks good coming thru the water. I have a small pond 1/2 mile from home. Water source is mtn stream so it's real clear. I use it to test drive new lures n any i modify. I'll let you know when i get to use it.
