I have missed you guys. Texas has been unbearably cold for many people. I am thankful I never lost power. No water, pipes frozen for 5-6 days. I was afraid to go outside...if I blinked would my eyelids freeze closed? That's a lie...I went outside twice a day minimum. I have 6 dogs, 1 bunny, 40 chickens to feed and water, collect eggs twice a day. Some were frozen by the time I found
them. Those frozen ones went to the dogs. Late last fall and until deer season closed I went to the processor and picked up deer leg and neck bones for my dogs. Put many in the freezer. During this freeze I gave them daily bones and additional hay in everyone's houses. Every animal on my farm made it through the sub-freezing atmosphere in Clyde Texas. I must say I got very tired of toting hay bales and 50# bags of feed, slogging thru 8" of snow and deeper where it drifted..I am the strongest Grandma y'all know.
Dang we have another cold front coming Wed.! I have been catfishing with no results. I have been skunked while perch jerking this month...need them for catfish bait. Come on March. 3/26 is our average last frost. Is the meet and greet still on or has C***d squashed it? I don't think I will be able to go to Kansas.
This is special, from WH to y'all.
Old, but still FN funny.
Found this for you fishing dudes.
Three fishermen were fishing when they came upon a mermaid. The mermaid offered them one wish each. The first fisherman said, “Double my I.Q” so the mermaid did it and to his surprise, he started reciting Shakespeare. Then the second fisherman said, “Triple my I.Q.” and sure enough the mermaid did it and amazingly he started doing math problems he didn’t know existed. The third fisherman was so impressed he asked the mermaid to quadruple his I.Q and the mermaid said “Are you sure about this? It will change your whole life!” The fisherman said “yes” so the mermaid turned him into a woman.
Bless y'all, I've missed you.

Lol that's funny. Yes to meet and greet has been postponed till next year. Glad to hear ya all made it through. Keep up the fishing you'll catch them sooner or later. You ever set drop lines off of tree limbs h*****g over the water. We do that around here with live bluegill supposed to have your name address phone number or your fishing ID on the line an has to be checked every day.
