Spoons for bait fishing?

i had an idea to attach a small spoon to a fish finder or carolina rig attached with bait. i’m fishing saltwater and i think that the glint would attach fish to my bait. would that work? i’ve never heard of people doing it but it seems like it would work

Willicy6595: If I were you I would not disclose my ideas as a question to this bunch before trying it. Keep them and do your experimentation first. What if you had a dynamite idea? So my suggestion is explore and experiment first. Just Sayin...RJS

Well,,,,,,,,,,, Will, I think you will catch a lot of oysters if you fish in saltwater. Maybe not.
