60F at my house in NE Texas right now. That's up from 1F last Tuesday. Forecast for Wednesday is 68F. That sure will feel good!

The snow is almost gone but we are still having to boil our water. Today the water coming out of the tap is dark yellow...I'm not sure even boiling that would make it safe. We are down to 6 20oz bottles of water and about a gallon that we boiled yesterday. Hopefully the water will clear up later today.

I'm frying up some crappie tonight to celebrate the end of the Texas blizzard.

Stay warm and well my friends.

Well if you still have snow, you can melt it and boil it if ya need water. We up here do it all the time. It's safer than well water or city water that's been stored in a dirty tank. It's an option.if life gives you lemons make lemonade if life gives you snow make water.

The snow is all gone. AMAZING how quickly it melted but temperature is currently 65. We got a case of water from one of our friends so we are good.

Things are looking up! I'm looking forward to fried crappie for dinner!

Eat enough snow and you'll soon be making/passing water - just don't eat the YELLOW snow !

PapaJ - Enjoy your crappie feast ! A fish-fry is always a good way to celebrate most any event !

glad things are looking up. Just curious what is up with those $10,000 electric bills I've heard of down there? especially when the power was out?

I know you guys had it rough down there. My sister lives in Marble Falls & had to boil snow for every drop of water. Boiled water outside with a total electric home. Said they almost froze. Ran out of food. Her & her husband are the kind that never buy extra anything, food or water. This may make believers out of them.
Got news about an hour ago that another friend has died from Covid. His love was noodling for catfish. I've carried the stringer many years. This is the 2nd friend to die uselessly from this disease. Yes, Don was another one that didn't go to the hospital until it was too late. Guys if you're feeling down go to the ER. Better sorry than dead. This flu will kill old farts like us. I get my 2nd shot Thursday & it can't come soon enough. I won't feel safe but I'll breath easier.
