Wow, that's to far off to even ask yet.
It’s always good to be prepared..... it’s never to early. Being it’s almost exactly a year away , then what is being caught now

Welcome to the Forum, Sandy, good luck.
Hi Sandy, hopefully someone will chime in soon with some helpful info so you can plan accordingly.
I"m a big lower key guy. Kayak by the "no name bridge" great water with variety of species to catch. good luck.
If you keep your eye sharp you will spy Key Deer. They look like a German Shepard with horns. You can't fish the keys without catching something.
Around the bridges are great for mangrove snappers, grunts, Caravelle Jacks, yellow tail snappers, lanes, and mutton. Be careful about size limits and species identity. I fish near there every Christmas for the past 15 years. Also caught bonnethead and nurse sharks. 5 foot nurse was my biggest yak catch.
All you need is a rod ,shrimp and chum block with an outgoing tide . give it 20 minutes and you will see a line of fish coming in . Be sure to read the regs and get your license. Be sure to have an anchor and sun screen!
Hi, I lived down in the Florida Keys for years, there's lots to fish for, snapper, trout, Snook, tarpon, grunts, grouper, all of which can be caught from your kayak, have a great time
Live shrimp works on all of those and live pilchards, (chum bag and chum works good), if you use the chum, just free line your small bait ( 1"×1") with number 2 or 4 hook hidden in the bait , let it drift in the chum in the tide
I'm down on the 26th thru 28th of feb
Sounds like good info.... , we had a change in date instead of February we’ll be there March/April.... thanks to all
