What’s your personal trout bait mix?

Having little luck with bass i want to get my trout stamp and see how i fare with them this early. I bought a few cheap cans of sweetcorn, and I’ve heard of people using kernels by themselves right from the can, but I’ve also heard of people mixing their own stuff in. I guess what I’m asking is where is a good place to start mixing? I’ve heard minced garlic but that’s about all i can find online. I’ve also seen people putting worms and corn on the same hook, since i have a few cans would it be wise to mix some nightcrawlers in with some and get their scent on it? (Obviously id do this the morning i go out so I’m not left with no corn and fat worms)

Eat the corn and just buy some worms if you want to use live baits,

I don’t think I’ve ever actually had luck with worms besides little sunnies, i just always have them because it’s the only thing my buddy will use.

Spoons, spinners, jigs or crankbaits are all I use, actually spoons is it anymore.

Trout don't digest corn very well unless the water is quite warm. So all the corn that falls off your hook goes to bloat the fish when they scoop it up. Better use something that looks like corn.
I made my own cheese bait for years and used it successfully in the Eastern Sierra. Simple formula: Velveeta cheese melted over low heat. Add one T. Dashi or Hon Dashi (bonito flakes or granules) per 4 oz. Store in glass jars (old salmon egg jars, etc.). Refrigerate. Keep cool by submerging in the water at your fishing site. Form a ball to cover a #16 or #18 treble hook. Use a sliding casting bubble rig with smallest leader possible.
