Doyle was sitting on his porch when A brand new Porsche pulled up, And even more perplexing was Heather stepped out of it, Doyle asked her Where she got it, She said, "I bought it." Doyle said, "I know how much a Porsche costs, Where does a Fifteen year old girl get that much money?" She said, "I bought this one for 5 bucks." Doyle said, "Who sold you that for 5 bucks?" Heather said, "The Old man just up the street." Doyle Thought the worst, He went inside got his gun and went to see about the old man, Doyle walked up to his as he was planting some petunias, and said, "I'm Heather's Step father, I'm here to inquire about the car." The old man stood up and said, "Yep, I sold it to her." Doyle said, "Why?" Then he said, "it was my ex-wife's car, She left me and married a 21 year old man, Then she called me and told me to sell the car and send her whatever I got from it."

About 20+yrs ago, my buddy Harold, actually bought a "Willie" driftboat (new, about $8k-$11k at the time,....
used, not much less if not abused) from an angry wife for $200 ! Same story, absent hubby said to sell and send him his half.... what a d.a. ! What in the world was he hoping would happen ?
BTW..... bitchin' boat w/ nice trailer and 9.9 Yamaha, & near new Sawyer sticks !! Caught my PB Steelhead (13+lbs) from it, on the Rogue. Keep your eyes and ears open, and cash in hand.... might pay off !
"Lucky Bastard" was what Harold named it ! Apropos to the max.

anyone here know about the 200 buck 57 chevy?Old lady had an ad in the paper, and on its first day my friend went to look at it as she didnt talk too well over the phone. So, he's thinking its run down and will need to be towed, maybe even to a scrap yard. Turned out to be a corvette the husband had left with the wife as he chased a younger skirt. And wanted the proceeds from it. She only sent half...smart but deeply sad for her. My friend died owning it...took it to all the shows...won a few trophies. Some guys get all the luck.
