Do I need to buy lighter line?

So I have a 7’1” MH bass x. Recently decided to rig it up with some PP Max Quattro 30 lb line because of the reviews it had for castability and strength. I only recently got into using braid and with mono bloor line rating was never something I paid attention to much because I was always within the range.

My question is if this rod is only rated to 12-20 lbs line, am I risking damaging the rod by throwing 30 on their? Or should I be ok with only the 10 lbs difference? The Max Quattro wasn’t cheap, but I’ll buy something cheaper if I’m putting my rod at risk. Thanks in advance!

It will be fine. Just adjust your drag.
You have better abrasion resistance with the 30 lb braid.

You will be fine.
Chances are your reel max drag is 20 pounds or less.

Braid is much thinner per #test. Heavier braid has fewer digging and backlash problems. Your good!
