All I have around me is stocked trout in small to medium ponds at parks. Does anyone have any advise on what to use? I mostly just use San Juan worms or eggs cause that’s what I assume the fish are used to being thrown in there faces with conventional tackle.

I like Power eggs, I can catch 3 or 4 fish on the same eggs and they always seem to produce. I use a slip sinker with about15 - 18" of line under it and the Power Eggs float so it holds the bait off the bottom.
I do pretty good on rainbow power bait. For stocked trout. Use a #8 hook 4 lb line. put a small split shot around 8” from the hook up the line a small piece of power bait about the size of your finger nail. Cast it out and let it soak.
Panther Martin and small white rooster tails . Tight lines

If is legal use corn or a corn flour dough. Stocked trout have a corn rich diet. That’s what they are used to.
