Lake Amador Fishing Report - NTAC

Participated in the 1st Event of the NTAC circuit put on by Angler's Press here in the Bay Area. It was supposed to be at San Pablo Reservoir but because of COVID-19 and SDan Pablo being in the East Bay, they haad to cancel that venue and it was moved to Lake Amador.
Fishing started out fast. I caught 2 right away, then it slowed way down. My buddy, we call Tiny, caught an 8.7 Trout to win $820. The thing was, Tiny was fishing the weekend before at Lake Amador and left his Mirage Drive at the marina. Those Mirage Drives are worth $900! So it was so deserving for him to win it :-) Good times!!!

The winning Fish!

Hey NoCal Steve. A Mirage Drive is what propels the Hobie Kayak forward or backward by peddling.

Yeah, NoCal. He packed his kayak and tackle and fishing gear before he left, but left the motor, basically. That's almost half the cost of the kayak itself! It was good that he won. Prize money will go towards a new motor :-)
