Hello everybody, I am headed for Little Bay De Noc in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in mid-March. I am wondering how the fish are biting there now and what they are hitting. Thanks for any info you can give me. This will be my first trip there and I don't really know what to expect.
Expect it to be colder than a mother-in-law's kiss. My wife has Canuk relatives that live up there on the Big Bay. I've never fished it but I imagine there's lake trout, perch, walleye. Oh. And smallmouth. I would expect the fishing to be pretty good - not a lot of pressure up there. And not many members on here from the UP from what I can tell. So you will be our eyes and our fish finder. Please post photos and let us know how you do. And welcome to the stage!
Thanks for the info! I know there are some big pike there as well. I will let everyone know how I do. My trip is scheduled for March 15-16. Gonna be staying in a sleeper shanty. Wish me luck.
DaveDumont: Welcome to the Forum. Sounds like you are going to be an advanced scouting party. Please take and post some pictures of your catch. If you dont catch anything, post some pictures of the lake and scenery. Just Sayin...RJS
Thanks Robert, I promise I will. I have been told that I will be getting there at one of the best times for big eye's. The few reports I have found sounds like it is hit or miss right now. They should be starting to stage for their spawning run around that time I think. We'll see!

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. I'll be sure to take pics and let you all know how I did! My son-in-law is taking me there for my b/day (March 14). Pretty nice gift eh?
