I have had a viper kayak for a few years it works great it's flat and basically impossible to flip over. However you sit low in it I am looking at getting a more expensive kayak as I have now justified its use I have seen some videos where people can stand in their kayaks and fish without knocking it over there's no way I can do that in my viper any suggestions for what type of kayak you can stand and fish in confidently?

I have a nu canoe frontier, 12ft long. Very stable. It has a flat bottom. If memory serves me, it’s at least 36” at widest point. I have stood up in it several times in calm waters , and felt confident doing so. I have a swivel seat on mine and hang my feet off the side in the water all the time, never any issues...it’s kinda heavy, but that adds to the stability..

It really depends on what you want to spend, I think I’ve had just about every fishing yak made for the last 30 years! Lol so the hobie pro angler is 4800.00, pedal power, the sportsman 120 with a built in motor is 3800.00. I have both, the sportsman 120 is by far the best kayak I have ever fished out of, I have a down rigger on it and I can troll all day and fish hands free because you steer with your feet! Check them out. https://youtu.be/SOL9hOmUn6E

I have the Bonafide SS127 - I am very comfortable the sit on top seat is great. I am able to stand and fish on calm days. I would recommend the Bonafide as one of the best Fishing kayaks you can invest in
