Great idea. I use empty prescription bottles to sort and keep hooks, sinkers and even small lures sorted, clean and dry.

Don't forget to use the GooBeGone for removing the pesky label.

I discovered a really nice way to keep my tackle from tangling into a big ball of mess.safety pins do the trick.just slide your hooks, swivels, ect. Onto a safety pin.with hooks I also wrap a bread tie around them to keep them together.then it is easy to locate and use them.

another trick I use is I get those long bent wire that they sell for threading sewing needles and put small flies or hooks on them then when you want to put them on your fishing line all you do is put your line through the wire loop slide off the fly and there you go it is threaded on your line and ready to go with out all the hit and miss trying to thread a small line through a small eye of the hook with old eyes like the ones below on amazon

I actually thought about doing something similar with my small tungsten ice jigs. Now you know I'm gonna try it! Thanks!

Catfish Dave Thanks for the safety pin idea. I use a couple of medicine bottles too but really like that safety pin idea.

I’m in on the idea. If you see me in the health and beauty isle I’m searching for safety pins.

I use wine corks for hooks. I shop in a
liquor store for them. I know my way around. Usually find them stuck in bottle. Found out years ago you have to buy the bottle to get the cork. Don’t mind that.

Is there a particular type of Cork?
White wine or red? I just want to make sure I go through the right isle for the corks. Hope they don’t run out of corks.

Red or white doesn’t matter, but champagne for treble hooks.

Well thought out plan.

They do need to be re-dried. The ones you have have been used up. Place on a cookie sheet at low temp in oven, then store in an air tight container (canning jar). When reusing them place the item in a air tight container with the silica gel. They absorb only so much moisture and then have to be dried out again. Used to own a business and we used them all the time (from Uline)

That makes sense.on cold nights,we turn on the electric oven on a low 200 degrees to save on heating.that would be a good time to dry the packs.thanks for that!
