I was in my deer blind once and a huge Owl flew over my stand while flapping its wings. It scared the bejabbers out of me. It grabbed a cotton tail and flew off.

One Winter we had a Snowy Owl operating near our home here in Iowa, I thought we were too far South for them but I guess not. Awesome critter to say the least !

Beautiful picture, I’ve only ever seen a few. Once in a while they’ll come down to Pa. but it’s not often and when they do it’s a big event.

Buddy of mine sent me this the other day. while he was out riding around the old central Ohio coal area with his camera saw this barn owl getting ready to fly out of a barn. He couldn't believe it stayed there long enough for him to get a picture he rides around with a his camera all the time just to capture stuff like that pretty good at it. AEP is selling the state of Ohio alot of that land out there over next several years. They have bought two Parcels of land so far the new Jesse Owens State Park and the new Appalachian Hills wildlife area check it out. Been fishing,hunting,and camping in that area since the seventies when I was a kid
