I looking to get a inflatable boat for me and my grandkids any suggestions for the safest one
I am assuming that you wish to fish from the boat, so I would highly recommend you do not purchase anything by Sevylor or Intex. Hate to diss an entire company, but I have yet to see a product from either one that would be suitable for fishing with kids, mainly due to durability and quality (and hook resistance !) of material. I actually own an inflatable kayak from each and a Mariner 3 that was an acquisition in a Craigslist package that included a Sea Eagle 330 kayak that I was actually after.
The Mariner has a decent rigid floor and ability to mount a small trolling motor, but again, I am not confident that it would be a good choice for anyone other than a really careful and concientious adult, even then, I would plan on getting real good at finding and patching pinholes.
I will however, HIGHLY recommend the entire line of Sea Eagle products, if your budget allows.
I have 4 of their products, fish out of all (though very rarely out of the kayak) and I don't worry about durability in the least..... have yet to "patch" any of them and they get used frequently. My #1 285fpb and I have done quite a bit of fishing in Class ll & lll rivers and brushy, rocky shorelines in mountain lakes and reservoirs....no prob.
Again, if your budget allows, can't beat Sea Eagle, imo. Their various configurations can accommodate several anglers. You already know this, since you are going for an inflatable already, but transport and storage are a snap, the main reason I began acquisition in the first place.
(I don't work for them, but in a younger life, I might have liked to.... the same folks own Panther Martin ! Employee perks must be stellar !)
Be sure to check Craigslist or such(Facebook ?) for used, 3 of my 4 SE boats came used from CL and after close inspection, I didn't even haggle, since the sellers were so reasonable in their asking price, in one instance, about 25¢ on the dollar !
Good luck on your quest !

I just got an Azurre Mare 11’ from Saturn Boats. It is a very well made inflatable. I have a 6hp Tohatsu and also a minn-Kota 45lb electric. Happy with both for what I use them for. A warning though, the boat is very heavy for me to move around by myself at the boat launch. Has fold up wheels but still a handful. You can check out Boatstogo.com for a good variety of boats. I used to have an Achilles 9’ and it was a great little boat but the prices have gone sky high. I also researched SeaEagle and they look pretty good. I just wanted something I could get on plane once in a while😎
My old stand by is a Zodiak. Not too pricey and very durable. If you power it with a gas motor I would have a rigid floor. They are a little bulkier but more stable in rough waters. I have a 12ft with a Yamaha 10hp. Plenty of power. I've had it for 20 yeard with no problems. Keep it covered if you store it outdoors. By the way the West Marine store brand is made by Zodiak. Good luck with your boat and as always "Tight Lines".

I have heard of Zodiak never seen one I will check them out thinks for your reply
Ever seen one of those Seal movies? Those are zodiacs, and are also great for river rafting.
My last boat was a used Achilles I bought on Craigslist for a paultry $1000 and I sold it a year later for $100 profit. These boats last decades if stored out of sun. I have owned four hypolon hard floor boats and loved them
I agree with FixoFish about SeaEagle products. I’ve had an fs85 for 5 years which is great (but not for two fishermen). Check their product line at SeaEagle.com (?) to get an idea, then call them for their recommendations. Their stuff is a little pricey, but from my experience, the best and safest on the market.

Stop worrying about holes being punched through, check out Porta-Bote. It's a fold up boat that comes in sizes 10' to 18'. Don't need a trailer. It folds to 4" flat. Check it out at Porta-Bote.com, tell them Tim Croft sent you.
Tight lines 🐟🐠🐡🦈🚣♂️🚤🎣
What kind of motor do you have on your sea eagle I purchased the sea eagles S10. I love my seagull very durable and every time people see it they ask where I got it from.
