Charter question about tips

Taking my wife out on her first fishing trip. I have not been on a charter since I was a teen, and therefore I'm a bit lost on tipping etiquette.

The charter is 4 hours for the 2 of us for $425. The mate will take care of any cutting/filleting when we get back, and it's included in the price.

I figured on $100 and would add in some more if it's super exemplary or we are crazy successful.

Am I in the right area? Thanks for any advice!

Where are you fishing? Are you tipping the capt. and the mate separately?

You on the ball, a $100.00 would be good, + or - the success.

You are right there. +- depending on how you are taken care of and the attitude of the crew/deck hand - not dependent on how many or how big unless you are told before that you would catch real big fish and you just get skunked or dinks and then they try to blow smoke at you about why.

Not Normal to tip the captain. 25% is ample for good deck hands.
