Beautiful day here in northern California, got the wife up early, got the boat loaded and noticed that maybe the starting switch to the trolling motor had been left in the "on" position, nah couldnt happen right? Wrong. When I was flushing the trolling motor I disconnected the fuel line to run the carbs out of gas as this engine is kinda pickey about starting, yep left the key on, battey so weak it will lift and lower motor but not start either one of them. Put the boat back on the trailer and went home, hooked up the charger and will try again tomorrow. My own words, have a check list, so this has been added, but if I dont read it , wont help much. Tight lines all.

Darn Tom, hate it when that happens. Would have been a good day out on the river too. That's OK, you'll get em tomorrow.
I have my boat in front of the house doin maintenance on it today.
I'm afraid I'm gonna have to replace the charging system on the motor and don't really know where, what or how to do that.

Yeah buddy. I've tried utube and it's confusing. My manual doesn't cover it.
You should have output terminals on your ‘alternator’ charging your battery. Could check for voltage there.

I'll probly PM him later, Thanks.
Yeah, there’s a lot of people on this site that could get that motor right. It’s just a matter of getting their attention with the right header. Start a new topic titled, “boat motor not charging”, or something to that effect. You’ll be back on the water sending us your fishing pics faster than you might believe.
