The lake I fish is the Winnipeg River system, its a stained water resorvoir in the canadian shield having an over abundance or very erratic structure with the bottom being granite for hard bottom and clay/mud for soft.
I've been mostly fishing hard bottom structure(mostly rock ridges) in the 12 to 25 foot range near deep water but also near the shallows(shores never more than 1km away, I have also focused on shoreline hard/gravel transitions to soft bottom where I have lots of luck in the open water season.
Live bait isn't allowed here but looking for any tips, pike seem to be most prevelant here but would enjoy perch/sunfish and walleye tips the most
