Well Friend, if you have a smart phone, it has a camera in it and your picture has already been recorded for publication. I suggest you wear a disguise or a clown makeup, so you will be able to go about as a different person. Just Sayin...RJS

I see a little hole on the top of my Acer Nitro 5 laptop, but doesn't it have to be turned on somehow in order to work?

Nope, it can be remoutly activated by software like zoom. If paranoid just put a bandaid over it. Oh and by some Spyware. Run Malwarebytes once and a while. The free version works good if you practice Safe Internet browsing.

This reminds me of a lady who burned up her Cadillac by not checking or changing the oil in her car. The mechanic after making all the repairs and checking to se e that the car was running right, noticed that someone had placed a S. & H. Green stamp over the oil warning light!

I have a little tape on my laptops.
You can search the device manager. If there is a camera you will find the drivers for it there. You can disable or delete the driver.

You can delete it, but the computer can go out and fund it on its own then reload it.

I clicked on camera and the computer said they couldnt find one
though my computer is only bout a year old
my screen is about 15 and has no place for a camera
so I guess I don't have one
now I can get naked in front of my computer
