San Bernardino County Fish and Game Commission receives 50% of all fines received in the County for Fish and Game violations issued by State Fish and Wildlife Game Wardens
With the approval from the County Board of Supervisors the Commission
awards Grants for fish and game youth education events and programs that benefit wildlife
Past events include Youth fishing events, Youth Qual hunting and Guzzler repairs in our desert areas

Sounds like a win/ win.
But what is a guzzler repair?

A Guzzler is a concrete structure designed to collect rain water it has an opening that wildlife can access for a drink
We had a motion activated camera at one time and somewhere I have a photo of three Chucker (game birds) next to a four foot Diamondback rattlesnake only three feet apart the chucker were all more interested in getting water then the threat of the snake

Its a big ground level roof type structure that has a gutter and all rai and snow go underground into the fiberglass tank that has a concrete opening ( so animals don't break it)

Then when less rain and snow happens hunting clubs haul water in by truck. Birds. and Deer antelope and Elk drink it FD

Why only 50% All money taken in by fish and game should go back to fish and game related expenses.

Good question the courts do with the other 50% what ever they do with all fines could be the judges salary

I don't expect that is where the money is going. I expect it is going into the general fund. If judges worked for a percent of fines, I think Superior Court Judges would be fighting for traffic magistrate jobs.
