Ok, so, I have heard great reports on the chatter baits. Do the 1/8 oz work well for smaller game fish such as crappie and perch?

Never used the little ones but the big ones I like. I use them where ever I’d use a spinner bait. I like using venom super do as a trailer

I've used the smaller size chatterbaits but I've never caught anything but LM & SM on them. I'm sure crappie would hit them as they'll hit smaller spinner baits. Having the bait in the right water at the right time is the key to success. Good luck.

Ben, do you stab those through the end of the tube and hide the shank, or just pierce the tip to keep the trailer longer?

I plan to tip them with live worms. We have been catching crappie on live worms, so, I figure using a chatter bait under a cork with a live worms may work. I dunno, we will try it tomorrow. Thanks fellas.

Gulp has a bait called pinched crawler, those might be good trailers for the small chatter baits

The water down here is so messed up I couldn't buy a fish Saturday. The basin is rising and falling too fast right now. It's like chocolate milk out there.
