Disable vet. Live in ingleside tx. Trying to get back into fishing. My back is crap so no boats for me. Need to re-learn bank fishing, shallow wading. My area of interest will be redfish bay and aransas Bay. Mostly the area between aransas pass tx and the ferry landing to Port aransas TX. Any help appreciated. Tackle, techniques, bait and tricks. Thanks ahead of time.

DWSmith43: Thanks for your service! I posted the Texas game and fish commission salt water fishing January report. You should be ablle to find it on around page 14 or 15 by using SEARCH. I don't think you need anything more than if you have a rod and reel suitable for bass, it will be adequate for the bays. Bait and such are mentiioned in the fishing report.

There area number of Forum members who fish the Texas coast and should be answering you shortly. Just Sayin...RJS

Thank you for your service ! Going towards the ferry , last small bridge before the ferry, take a left ,it curves to the right. Lots of little places carved out so you can back up into. You'll need lawn chair & cold beer . Good trout , redfish , flounder. Live shrimp , mullet dead or alive. I'll put some poles on bobbers & some on the bottom. Springtime great place to catch blue crab . The road used to take you to the gambling ship that is longer there. Good luck .

Thanks for the tips. Tried con brown down in that hole near the bridge. Skunked. But it's fishing.
