I grew up in a small town called Pompton Plains. Next to us was Pequannock and that made up the township. There was a store that sold Jawa motorcycles. That was the only place I ever saw that name.

Crazy sue happy world. Why put the two top rungs on a ladder if you can’t use them? I’m up there all the time. Not ladder fishing. If I fall it’s my fault. I don’t need a warning on the ladder. But it’s there. I guess it needs to be.

Actually she had a good case. McDonald's had settled all the others out of court(there were lots of them, BTW).
It was a nation wide company policy to keep the coffee at 170 degrees, so the "Old People" wouldn't set around inside and talk while drinking coffee. They want the seating for customers that spent more money.
When the car she was in (as a passenger) hit the "Speed Bump" leaving the drive up window, the lid came off and scalded her "Privates", it was between her legs, burnt so bad she was in ICU with the skin sloughing off. At that time there were no cup holders that came with the cars. I did a lot of research on this one as I was also upset about it before I got the whole story about the lawsuit and McDonald's reasons for doing the coffee so hot.
Second degree burns with the skin coming off just about where your legs meet due to a company policy to free up seating.
Actually she had a good case. McDonald's had sett... (show quote)

Definitely an interesting read. Thanks.

That woman suing McDonald’s because the coffee was hot kinda got the ball rolling on the stupidity

Sad to say Ben that it was the insane judge who even allowed the case into the court that started the insanity. Can you say let them star there for life? How stupid are we in allowing it to happen?
TERM LIMITS ON ALL OF THEM

I was given a tire pressure gauge on customer appreciation day at local Home Depot. On the package it read be sure vehicle is parked when using. I showed that to the staff and we had a good laugh. Would like to meet the idiot that checked his tire pressure while his vehicle was moving.

That is a tuff one to answer MAS. Can't blame it directly on politics and hopefully know one tries. To cold up in the attic.

I kind of feel that somewhere somebody saw a way to make a buck on quoting the obvious put it down on paper and the snowball took off from there.

Then you got the stupid is what stupid does theory.

Lets see if my tongue sticks to this metal pole. Lets see how long i can keep my hand over the flame. Oh the list is endless i bet.

Well said, I wish we could somehow force it to go in what I think would be a saner direction but then how many think I am nuts. Just thinking

Lost sense of personal responsibility. Not enough costs going to lawyers and plaintiffs for frivolous lawsuits. No risk just rewards. Juries that feel sorry for
Dumb_ _ _. Use four or five letters if you like.

It is quite burdensome seeing how in my own opinion how rapidly it has all degraded even though trying to instill responsibility and common sense (critical thinking skills) and good work ethic in my own kids.

Hard saying what the schools are doing. There is a teacher who wants to be called Mx, nor Mr. or Ms. I don’t know what that is. Cashiers can’t make change unless they let the register figure it out for them. I have a guy who is good at his job, but cannot get to work on time. I set up job interviews for new hires and no one shows up or calls. Don’t even try getting support from Spectrum internet, ATT, or any health insurance company.
