Would I be better off getting a champion extreme 744 or 745 for jig fishing I mainly throw 3/8 to 1/2 oz would a 745 be too much of a broomstick or will it feel good

I don’t know about Dobyns. They are great rods though
I just bought a Loomis NRX 893 for the exact same application.
Was not an easy decision.

Hey Yul. I have a Dobyns Fury Series FR 704c, 7 foot, heavy fast action. It says it's for Texas rigs , jigs , Carolina rigs , spinnerbaits and toads.
I also used it trollin for stripers Tuesday and it works great even for that. Really a nice sensitive rod with a lot of backbone.
