Been fishing for a bit now and finally ready to invest in a better more sensitive spinning rod. Mostly fish local lakes and rivers from the bank, so something that casts would be nice. Pairing it with a pflueger president xt 30. Looking for something in the 6-7ft range.
Suggestions would be much appreciated.

You don't say what you're targeting, but St. Croix has a whole bunch of rods for different species and locations for 150 bucks or so and less. You can't go wrong with a St. Croix in my opinion. And if you want to go super premium, they make those too if you want to part with that much money. Avid, Legend. Great rods.

3 X. Can’t go wrong with St Croix.
You can get in for $100 for a Triumph . Used em for years and they are very dependable.
They offer progressively higher grades if you are so inclined
My experience they start to get really really good at the Avid level. That is the high end quality starts to become more noticeable.
Agree 100% with all the St Croix comments. Even their less expensive rods are excellent quality.
I also use mostly all St. Croix rods, both Fly and Spinning. Also agree with the other reviewers, match the rod to the prey and size/weight of flies, lures or bait. You won’t be sorry. I fish mostly in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico.

I agree with above st croix love mine but also decided I needed something different sometimes and now also have a Gary loomis love that one also
G. Loomis also makes great rods. They start right around 200 bucks and go from there. You can get a st. croix for about half that. How much you willing to part with?
