What’s the secret?

I’m about to give up until spring unless I discover the secret.

Even in Florida, when the water cools down Bass will move off the banks to deeper water. Try some different areas that might have a creekbed or channel surrounded by shallows. Try and fish the dropoffs. SLOW DOWN your presentation and use soft plastics like worms, senkos, creature or beaver type baits. Good luck, and don't worry, Spring is coming.

I pulled 2 out of the Hillsborough in green swamp reserve last week with a green and brown "frog" with really short twitches and 4 or 5 second float time in-between. was honestly my first success in freshwater here out of 5 tries and neither bass was over 10inches. I'm preferring the piers on the gulf personally so far :). good luck n keep casting
