Welcome to the Stage Swift, I would imagine most of the surf action is over now. Perhaps an occasional schoolie around the mouths of rivers. I hear various levels of success on the Housy, but all from boat fishermen. Schoolies during the day,and a few slot fish , up to 20lbs at night. Not much on specific areas as the schools move up and down the river chasing bait. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Caswell Cove in Milford and Sunny Side Park in Shelton can be productive on the Housy. Sunny Side can be frustrating when the boats are fishing just outside of casting distance and hauling in fish and you’re getting nothing from shore though.
Nice to see what’s happening with my favorite species in other areas. Still some schoolies around in the surf here in s. Jersey. Bays and rivers are off limits till spring. Time to pull some maintenance and get ready for the spring run. Good luck keep posting results.
Thanks Jim. I've had fun with schoolies at Caldwell cove in December and the Milford state boat ramp docks in the fall. Sunnyside did not produce the couple of times of tried.
My son and I were at Sunnyside this morning for several hours with a good crowd. We saw a boat catch a single schoolie but otherwise it looked like everyone came up empty.
