New to catfishing

Hi everyone my name is Tyler. I'm new to catfishing but not new to fishing ive fished of and on for awhile now. I was wondering if anyone here fishes cowanesque lake or other body's of water around tioga county for catfish. What baits and rigs do you guys use?

Tcover: Well, you are starting on a very fundamental and basic fish. Catfish will eat almost anything. Some folks use chicken livers, or other parts, I grew up fishing with earth worms or minnows. Later, we gained a source for perch and did catch a lot of catfish with live bait.
Others use shrimp, stink bait, cut bait (when they catch a carp or orther fish, cut strips of that and use it) and such. This should get you started. Just Sayin...RJS
