I’ve never written fished in Florida. But most of the techniques got to be the same as in NJ. I’ve seen the YouTube video flytier referred to and it is good. There is also the Surfcasters journal videos on there that are terrific , although they are mainly about surf fishing for stripers and bluefish around the Long Island NY areas. Also John skinners videos are terrific. Structure is key for all types of fishing , at the beach your usually talking about sand bars and the cuts between them and jetties . Also what we call here is the beach lip where the waves cut a little ledge or wall where the wave hits the beach. Also very important is the trough formed between the lip and the sand bars. Tides , Current , sweep, wind, phases of the moon and types of baitfish that are around at the time you are fishing all are very important considerations. Always talk to the folks at local bait and tackle shops . They want you to be successful because that’s what keeps you coming back. Good luck hope this helps. Get back to us with results, I love to hear about it.
