I have one that came on our boat we picked up this spring and have had no issues. I've heard that some of the older ones leak.

Coolest thing I ever seen. Egghead had one. Push Anchor. Boat stayed right where it supposed to. Best to face the wind B4 pushing the button. Then 5 ft one way or other is way cool. Using fish finder can see bait and fish headed toward bait coolest thing I ever did.

I just got a 24v 80lb Terranova with the anchor lock and the GPS direction holding features, feedback on the spot lock has been really positive. The direction thing for trolling will change the way we fish as far as not having to constantly pay attention to the boat's direction.

Got the same one on my g3. Lock the heading and not straying off course. Love the anchor lock also.

Ya that anchor option is slick. If you get the i link with it, it will link to your fish finder. On our helix 7 I can put way points on the map and the motor will take the boat to them in order. Handy for trolling a contour or dropoff

Well you got the positives.lol. everything said above is spot on. All in all a great unit. You want to keep external moving parts clean and lubricated. Not grease or oil but Teflon or some thing like. If you deploy while moving more than 2 mph you'll break the stow deploy motor.if you forget to stow before taking off it will break the stow deploy motor. That being the weak link in the unit. But works well if not abused. Another coming problem. Sometimes when stowed it will not deploy. Most often cause is a micro switch in the front right side gets stuck closed telling the motor it's deployed. Just reach over flip it with your finger. it's on the inside front. attached to a roll pin. There are alot of moving electrical parts. The stow and deploy belt needs adjusted once in awhile but easy to do. A little maintenance goes along ways. Over all???? I would buy another one. The only problem I had with mine was the micro switch.just needed cleaned. All the other problems I fixed for friends. There super easy to work on or replace parts.

I want one real bad but not interested in the cost. It is only reason I still drive 1992 F series Four wheel drive or 1990 Jeep. No payments but function great still.

I’ve been using the Motorguide Xi5. Got it late in the season and got to use it a few times. It’s pretty good unit.

For my fishing style, it will be a big step up from my cable steer X5
Course lock, anchor and jog.
The foot pedal is crap. It works but responsiveness leaves a lot to be desired

I fish in freshwater and have had my Ulterra going on 3 yrs. Zero problems, works great! I use the Bluetooth remote and never had any issues.
