Kind of new to fishing

I grew up ocean fishing with my grandpa and loved it. As an adult I really haven't fished much but want to start lake fishing.Not sure were to go. I live in the High Desert any suggestions.

Grandpasgirl: From a computer search, it looks like the only close fishing in Apple Valley are those that charge you per fish you catch. If you are interested you might Google those opportunities. There appears little else in your area. Just Sayin...RJS

I grew up in the Mojave Desert. Mojave Narrows and Silverwood are closest. Big Bear Lake Lake Arrowhead... etc are not real far. Havasu is fun. There is some Ponds here and there but not many known for fishing.
