Bad day on the links

One Saturday afternoon a married couple was playing their favorite course when the husband’s tee shot ended up behind the maintenance shed located near the left rough on the 7th hole. He was about to chip his ball back into the fairway when his wife stopped him. She suggested that he open the sliding doors on each side of the shed and hit a low shot through the open doors, straight at the green. Not wanting to ruin the round he decided to follow her advice. He opened one door while she opened the next. He planned the shot carefully, chose a club to keep it low and swung. Unfortunately, he mis-hit the ball, struck the shed and bounced back, hitting his wife...killing her on the spot.
A few weeks later he was back at the course playing with strangers when his tee shot (on the same hole) ended up within a few feet of where it laid on the fateful day. As he was just about to pitch his ball back into the fairway, one of his playing partners stopped him. “You know...if you just open the shed doors...” The husband stopped him mid-sentence...”No, please...something terrible happened the last time I tried that and I won’t make that mistake again”
“Really, what happened?”

With a sigh the golfer replied...
“I triple bogeyed the hole”

As it is known, that is Par for the course. Safety first.
