I need some help with my casting of a fly rod.
I've noticed when I'm casting a fly rod that I'm really strong with getting the rod to bend and the line to do a candy cane shape as it rolls out in the air but I am never able to make my line got straight out as it's coming down to the water. At the end of my cast when it's going to go in the water I have noticed instead of it going out in a line it either bunches up or it does a half bunch half straight type thing. I have no idea how to fix this and what I should/ shouldn't do. Any advice about fly fishing would be awesome.

I would say that you are not releasing the line at 10:00 o'clock but at 9:00 or less.
The only time that happened to me was after I putchased a new fly line and stupidly mixed the forward and back ends. Not sure but decided to unwind and switch ends. Every cast since then gently straightens the leader and tippet perfectly. Good luck.

Go to the Orvis web site and view the lessons.
Sounds like you may have too light of a leader or too long of a leader. Are you using a tapered leader? If so, shorten it up a little and see if that problem solves itself. I've seen that when I tied too long of a tippet onto a tapered leader. Dampens the energy at the end of the cast that straightens out the leader/tippet.
Most of my fishing is working the shore line either from a float tube or a kayak. I want a fast action rod which allows me to pick up the floating line easily, allow the rod to load which then you bring the rod forward it automatically creates that loup releasing the line a 10 o’clock. The line will shoot back out and at the same time turning over your leader and fly.
The coiling comes from going past 1 o’clock on your take up which unloads the rod. You lost your power with the line now when you go forward with the rod everything lands in a pile.
Fly casting takes practice but there’s nothing better than a master angler fish of any kind on a fly rod. Go get em!
