Just wondering what some of your personal favorite walleye rod and reel setups are? Plan on doing some casting with it too, but not a great deal of it. Price isn’t really too big of a concern. Thanks!!

I have a St Croix Eyecon that catches more Walleyes than several, much more expensive rods. It's the six foot medium light, "Jig & Rig". The spinning reel on that one is a Daiwa Feugo, which is a decent reel, but there are many good options. That combo is about $230.

Was just looking at Eyecon’s and thinking that’s what I’m going to roll with. Thank you!

Maumee river walleye run rod. I recommend 7 ft medium wt fast action. Reel I prefer medium heavy to help fight the current with an up to 12 pound walleye on the hook.
