My boss phoned me today. He said, "Is everything okay at the office?"
I said, "Yes, it's all under control. It's been a very busy day, I haven't
stopped."
"Can you do me a favor?" he asked.
I said, "Of course, what is it?"
Pick up the pace a little. I'm in the foursome behind you."

I had nearly the same happen to me. I called in sick with an EYE problem so EYE could go snowmobiling. Up on the hill I get a message “ you should have taken the shoot on the left and you would have made the top. As I was sitting at the bottom of the hill looking around up he drove - looked at me and just said - ‘see you are not the only one with an ‘EYE’ problem and you didn’t see this one coming did you?’ We both just laughed and had a great day in two feet of new powder.

Every once in a while when I am caught up at work, I see a slow day ahead, etc., the wind is right for hunting, the forecast is right for fishing, or it looks like a decent day for golf...I have been known to call in with an Ophthalmologist appointment as I just can’t SEE myself going to work 😉
