That is a brown Trout Spirit.
Looks like some we've caught out of Lake Tahoe before.

I thought maybe it was a brown, I've caught a few, but their spots are not black or dark grey like that - they're orangish red or just plain red. Maybe it's the water or the part of the country? Maybe I'm nuts. All the browns I've caught were - well - kinda brown.

A lot of that was the way the light was reflectin off the fish. Sure is a pretty one that you posted.

Hey JM. Where in Arkansas did you catch that nice brownie? I have been privilaged to trout fish the Bull Shoals tailwaters since the mid 60's.
I caught this guy in March 2018 and finally got him back from the taxidermist in October. He was just over the length limit @ 25 1/2" and just under 7 pounds. Looking forward to getting back down there to my place in March. Keep on chasing those big guys.
