Fried is good and sauce picante is better.

I've cooked lots of different stuff over the years, but alligator ain't one of em. I've eaten it, it's pretty good, but never cooked it. Let us know how you do. Photos please!

I was wondering where you had gotten the alligator, I could see you getting the walleye and the cats out of the Cedar River. But, I didn't think Iowa had a season on gators.

No worries. Treat it like chicken. Internal of ~160F. Overcooking will make it tough. Fried is preferred but it also grills well.

Less than fresh gator can taste fishy/turtly.
