Anybody fish for our favorite whiskerfish in the winter ? Was looking to hit a 13,000 acre lake in Ohio. Either by boat or shore. Any tips would be appreciated! Or if it’s not worth it, let me know ! Thank you all

Friend, Catfish really do not change much, they just slow down and eat less in the winter. You will have to be patient, and use the same baits. I am a firm believer in perch if they are legal in Ohio, that's what I'd offer them and you should be able to catch some large cats. Just Sayin...RJS
Catfish will only survive if a lake is 14,000 Acres.
And what research do you base that on? I have friends here in Texas with catfish in their stock ponds and the size does not even come close to 1/10 that size. Just Sayin...RJS

Never fished there in the winter for catfish but in the summer nothing works better than shrimp. Way better odds with a boat. Not that much or that great of shore access at Pymutuning.

These came out of Pam trot line
If a lake has 14001 acres it might keep catfish alive. It depends on how many gallons of water are available per fish.... :) :)
I was waiting for someone to catch on.
