No. Yabbies are basically crayfish or "crawdads" in the USA and don't get nearly as big as Marron. I have caught plenty of crawdads in the Midwest USA, and snared Marron in South West WA, Australia.

That said, when it comes to freshwater, if I had my druthers, smoked trout is the way to go. Followed closely by breaded and fried bullhead.

Bluegill are good, but nowhere near as good as crappie. It’s gonna matter where you fish as well, I don’t get many opportunities to catch trout or salmon. But you can buy those, can’t buy crappie.
