Yes about 35 minutes south of st. Louis, finally put a new motor on my boat and been trying out some different lakes, i usually run the current river in southern MO, but checking out bodies of water closer to home!

Welcome to the stage jdc. Don't know a thing about where to fish in the MO. Fished in the White River 50 some years ago, caught some catfish. That was by Monett. You know where that is?

Welcome aboard jdc440ex. Lots of private lakes around south of you. I’m on Killarney. I am not that familiar with the rivers. St. Francis is all over the place. Have you fished any of the St. Joe State Park lakes?

Never heard of lake killarney, havent fished any of st joes, i tried bismark lake, tons of boats were out that day didnt have much luck, been hitting council bluffs lake but not a ton of luck, fishing is slow, plan on trying palmer lake sometime in warmer weather, never have been there. Any good fishing on killarney lake and is it public?

Killarney is private. Sounds like you have been more places around than I have. Big lake south, Whappapello, that I haven’t been to yet. It would qualify as the southeast version of Lake of the Ozarks. Plenty of coves and shore line to explore.

Havent been there since i was a kid, council bluffs is beautiful and not far from you, water is crystal clear, i go to Clearwater alot down by Piedmont do alot of good trolling crankbaits there, never have much luck just picking a spot to throw and retrieve. What i like so far about council bluffs is lots of brush and not many people every time ive been, plus nice facilities!
