Closed my tailgate on my ECHO TR Spey rod. Anyone think this is at all repairable?

It's literally the worst.

To make you feel better I blew up a buddies rod when I was in Mexico chasing roosters. The guide saw some fish down the beach and told me to hop on the ATV. I threw the rod in the front holder and we took off, not realizing the fly had popped out of the hook spot. We drive twenty yards and the fly catches in the tires and the sound it made was like a concussion grenade. I was so embarrassed. Luckily my buddy laughed it off and said that is what warranties are for.

Send it in for the warranty.

Good luck, those doors eat a lot of rods. That break is just the width of a door and I think the warranty people will figure it out. That is one reason why you have to send the complete rod back. Most warranties do not cover neglect, only a break from normal use.

Call the factory and see if they can make you a new piece. Lamiglas did a rod for me.
