What are these things. Any one use something like this. What kinda of sharpener do you use. And how do you use it. Can you get your knife sharp. Is there a knife sharpener on the market that really works. Unscramble this and they have many names, good to eat and make some fine bait.
MBARE.

I have tried numerous knife sharpeners, but I went back to an Arkansas whet stone and oil. Most sharpeners just eat knives as they work, but remove a bunch of metal and make knicks bigger. I still use my Grandpa’s hunting knife from the 40s.
As for BREAM, I have yet to use them for bait, but am not really a cat fisherman.

Looks like ceramic krock sticks. Bluegills for us. Work very well for keeping a fairly sharp knife sharp but once they’re gone after processing a deer or two I like the worksharp to quickly bring them back

They work if you can keep the angle in your knife just right. I use the Warthog sharpener. You can change the sticks to more course and change the angle from filet knife to hunting knife 3 settings. I just cut up an elk by myself Saturday with a 9" bubba filet knife. Boned trimmed and cut steaks. Had to re sharpen bout 5 times. Only takes about 5 strokes per side.vabd it doesn't eat the point if the knife like the work sharp does.

My favorite is a tri stone. You have to practice with it if you’ve not used one before but once you get the hang of it you can make a blade razor sharp. I also have a Havalon 60A knife my brother in law gave me for Christmas which has replaceable blades. Them blades are wickedly very scary sharp and can cut through a deer like a hot knife cutting butter. But you better know where your fingers are because it can cut you good before you realize it.

My Son gave me a Havalon for Xmas last year, but I have yet to use it. Suppose I ought to as I am not getting any younger and I probably have a lifetime of replacement blades.

OJ get that havalon knife out and use it you’ll like it but it is scary sharp but does amazing work on a deer or any critter you choose to use it on.
