I was wondering what others favorite brand was for wacky rigging. About 20 years ago we used Jersey Rigs and caught a lot of bass. I believe this was before Yamamoto Senkos. Now it seems that brand dominates the market. I also like 3 inch Yums now. Did anybody else ever hear how wacky rigging was invented by mistake? The story I read was that a novice fisherman on vacation went into a local tackle shop and asked what the hot lure was for a nearby lake. He was told they were using plastic worms so he bought some not knowing about Texas rigs. When he came back with a limit of large bass the shop owner was amazed at how well he had done and asked how he had done so well. It turns out that because he was using "worms" he hooked them in the middle like you would a nightcrawler and the bass liked the different look and he cleaned up.
