Reminded me of this: "The pessimist complains about the wind, The optimist expects it to change, the realist adjusts the sails." William A. Ward

The wind is your friend is a common saying in competitive bass fishing. Before I got into off shore bass fishing I preferred to fish out of the wind like most shallow water anglers do. Adjusting fishing strategies to have the wind benefit your game plan would be the same as adjusting your sails to reach your destination.

I’ve won some tournaments on windy days because of this.

I worked with electronic weather sensors for 26 years, and the most fundamental thing that I've learned about the weather is that the wind ...is a WOMAN! She feels free to change her mind. Often!

The winds and tides always favor the able navigator.

It's not the size of the ship, it's the motion of the ocean.
