Hi y’all! I’m an avid bass angler but enjoy fishing for most anything else as well. I captain for a high school team and fish a few tournaments myself. I love chasing big bass off shore. Looking forward to sharing and gaining knowledge here. Tight lines!

Welcome HogWaller: Excellent name. I'm a native Texan, but dont know where Garrison Texas is? Is it in East Texas? Also,I was curious about chasing bass off Shore. Just what kind of bass or where were you planning to do this? Just Sayin....RJS

Is that where this guy lives? About 50 years ago or so he played for the Cowboys. Recognize him? Just a pinch between your cheek and gums.

As a matter of fact. Once a Cowboy. His book. He played for the Okie State Cowboys, the Dallas Cowboys and was an honest to by-god steer rasslin cowboy.

Hi Mr Samples. Yes Garrison is in East Texas north east of Nacogdoches about 15 miles. For off shore bass I like throwing deep diving crank baits like the Strike King 6XD. I will also use a Carolina or Texas rig and a football head jig.

I fish Rayburn, Toledo and Fork along with other smaller lakes around. There’s nothing like getting a school of bass fired up on a deep diving crank bait. When it’s really going on you can put 30-40 in the boat in a couple of hours. I learned a little about deep cranking by getting to fish with Bassmaster Elite Pro Keith Combs for a day back in 2016. Since then I’ve been learning on my own and have won a couple tournaments on Rayburn.
