One Lonesome Parrot!

Herb had two parrots, both a female and a male, Jenny and Johnny, that he had for several years. Much to both Johnny and Herb’s regret, Jenny died suddenly. After a month or so, Johnny was still morning, not eating and his prolonged condition caused Herb to worry about his chances of surviving his loss of Jenny.

Finally, after weeks of Johnny moping around, not eating, and such, Herb decided to take Johnny to a local pet store and try to find him a suitable mate to be a companion and get his mind off his loss of Jenny.

They go to the store and Herb asked the store owner if he had any mature, female parrots that might be a suitable companion for Johnny. The owner replied he had one such parrot that might be just the bird they were looking for. Herb asked how much this female parrot cost, and the reply was $50. So, to see how they might get along, the owner and Herb put Johnny and the new female in a cage together and covered it up for their privacy and left them alone.

In a few minutes there was a lot of commotion, loud squawking, and some profane words coming from the covered cage. The owner runs and removes the cover from the cage that was holding both Johnny and the new female parrot. There flat on her back, with Johnny holding her down with one foot on each of her wings, was Johnny and he was slowly pulling out the female’s feathers, one by one.

Herb, in a panic, said to Johnny, “What are you doing?” And Johnny replied, “Well, for $50 she should be naked!” Just Sayin….RJS
