After harvesting 2 deer in the first few days of archery season, today, 2 months later shot a doe today. Was out around 12.30 and at 4.30 3 came out in front of me. I've seen this group on my cams over the last few months, mostly at night. Had a good shot on the biggest one

Was a good size doe around 120lb, felt it dragging it back to the truck. Skun and gutted and hanging for the night

It looks like a nice shot, Ronnie, right through the heart. Your Southern deer are a lot smaller than our Northern deer. A nice deer up here would go 200#s or better. Try dragging those uphill. And, we live in the "Bluff Country", which is very beautiful to look at but, a bitch to hunt coon or deer in.

I've heard that fly, there are some big deer down here, have seen a couple over the last 2 years but they came out mostly at night or when I wasn't there.

We have mule deer in the northern part of the state bigger than white tail in southern part.
