Well I've never heard of a stripped bass. Usually spellchecker turns stripers into strippers. Striped bass are not green, they're kinda silvery with black stripes and markings. Large mouth and spotted bass are greenish like the one in your photo, but spots usually have red eyes. That's why I think yours is a large mouth. That an everything in Texas is large, so I hear.

Yes and the fish in the net ha ha
So as I am trying to remove hook the line gets tight that’s when I saw my pole in the water pulling on line
This little boat is brand new to me it’s really tight to work with
What’s seems simple at first proves to be a bit more difficult.
Was not wanting to loose 400 plus worth of gear. Reel is a CARDO DC pole enigma
Until you fish on one well it’s a new deal of space. I add floor which is one 22x22. Tiny is an understatement.

Came from Great Lakes. Family bull racing sail boats
Fished Lake Huron.
The lakes here are new and different to me
I did laugh at myself. 50 years old and just had to toss fish back and then just laughed out loud.

In my youth, I got to fish Tacoma (and ski) a lot. That was before stripers were introduced there and before a lot of the lakes that are now near Ft. Worth and Dallas.

Not sure 🤔 so when you say total weight “ I think” gear tackle box pole trolling motor battery anchor ? I callus weigh it I have scales to do so
