Costum Rod Building

Hey guys and gals, Hooker pay attention, Mudhole.com is having black Friday specials on rod building kits. Turnkey rid kits as low as $159 they include EVERYTHING to build a rod including the rod handle guides reel seat all supply's rod wrapper, rod dryer. It's a great way to make your own rods. Or a great way to repair broken guides. Would make a kid a great Christmas present. Would rather see a kid wrapping fishin poles than playing Xbox or Rollin joints. 🤔😁

These days they will be doing all of that. Not saying its a good thing but xbox in my sons room used to drive me nuts. Hopefully it was all worthwhile now that he keeps Air Force Aircraft safe and functional. I agree with you buddy I would rather see them learn and perfect the skills like you have now. I hope everyone had a great and safe T Day. Its about 1/2 Hour here on west side until one of my Favorite Steely Dan songs is to transpire.

I've been wanting to get back into that but i don't know if i have the space in my laundry room, i have everything i need except i lost the clutch for my rod dryer, it's been years and i never worked with cork grips and need to learn how. I don't know what i need or how to get them to fit, i only built saltwater rods in the past and used eva grips. I'll check out the sale and see what they got maybe it will help me get started again.

Lee, you can get a clutch perty cheap, for cork grips get a set of reamers. They come with a handle, or you can just put em in a hand drill. Saves time

Black Friday is a Steely Dan song.

The song is about an Australian speculator that made bank...not about a commercial shopping day but its called the same thing.

What album's it on? I have to sneak off to listen to SD, my wife hates em - I think it's got something to do with the origin of their name. For a foul mouthed Canuck she can be absolutely prudish sometimes.
